YouTube TV is getting more expensive again. On Thursday, Google’s streaming service began notifying existing customers that, starting in January, the monthly price of its basic plan will jump from $73 to $83.
“To keep pace with rising content costs and the investments we’re making in the quality of our service, we’re increasing the price of our basic YouTube TV plan from $72.99 per month to $82.99 per month,” a YouTube TV spokesperson told CNET in statement.

“The new price will go into effect today for new members; existing members will see the updated price in their next billing cycle on or after January 13th. We don’t take these pricing decisions lightly and give all members the flexibility to cancel their membership at any time.”
YouTube TV last raised prices in March 2023. they go from $65 a month to $73. The new increase puts YouTube TV at the same starting price of $83 per month as its rival Hulu Plus TV Livealthough Hulu’s offerings also include Disney Plus (with ads), Hulu (with ads), and ESPN Plus.

Hulu Plus Live TV also has access to several regional sports networks, including SNI (in New York), NBC Sports Boston and Monumental Sports (in the DC and Baltimore areas). Disney raised the price of Hulu and its live TV streaming service back in October.
