For most of my adult life, I was a constant fitness professional.
But I have a confession.
Fitness can feel like a job.
It is true, even “professionals” are not always feeling motivated. And my clients either.
It’s normal. No one feels motivated all the time.
Fitness is kind of like flossing. You don’t always like him, but you know it’s important.
So what do you do when everything just feels like another item on your “To-do” list?
First, give yourself permission to feel like this.
You don’t have to be someone who “falls in love” with fitness to make it important. Even if you never look forward to it, a A small consistent effort still pays off.
Second, when possible, that is It is worth trying to bring more joy process.
At best, fitness is not the ultimate goal. It is an amplifier for everything else you love.
If fitness feels like a trunk for you, here are some ways to mix things:
List your exercises after your favorite hobbies or interests. (If you love star wars, don’t work, work Eat the training.)
You can try training especially built around something you enjoy or even Levels up after fighting fighters.
And it doesn’t just go to the exercises!
There are also thematic cookers and inspiring and entertainment for your meals.
My son (11) brought the Minecraft Chef of Minecraft last week and decided to want to make a “minecraft steak”. He was literally just a steak with salt and pepper on it, but he was so excited and invested in eating Juuuuust right.
You can even add some taste to how you Track your progress.
Bottom line: No matter what you love, whether it’s Gandalf, gardening or golf – see if you can bring little to mix.
For most of us, fitness does not work to be “best in fitness”. (Although if competing in 5k runs or events for PowerLifting is what you love, it’s great!)
It is about energy and health showing in things that light you up. For example, one of my clients, Julie, really hated strength training. She knew it was important for retaining muscle and bone health and everyone else. But until we managed to take certain movements in her exercises back to your passion, archery, that “job” is part of work that became easier.
I still remember how he was lightening after she returned from the archery session and said something in line with: “Onions just felt so easy to pull away!” (Archery, they don’t come to me if I mixed it. 😅)
Lower line: Emphasize the connection between your fitness goals and all the other cool things you love to do is a code.
Movement should not always be serious.
Try adding a few more games and mini-challenges to your session to spice things!
Finish heating with Pali fire the challenge.
Between exercises, add into some small movement of intensity such as juggling or walking with an equilibrium beam, etc. To make your brain challenge even as your body is recovering.
Roll A D20 To determine which air conditioning will look at the end of your session.
In the camp screwed fitness, my ninja class was full of small games and challenges like these, and people left smiling and sweating. I remember a camper, Emily, he comes to me and gave me a hug, because this approach was that fitness becomes fun and available in a completely new way.
Lower line: Where possible, tap the playful side of movement.
Sometimes, despite all this, fitness will still feel like grinding.
That’s okay.
In those seasons, don’t overcome that. Focusing on basics: a A few key movementsEating some protein, moves a little every day.
The action has become more than perfection.

Some of these ideas will click, some won’t, and that’s the point. There is not a single size that corresponds to all recipe here.
My hope for you is that you can find ways to fit the fitness for your life without downloading it.
So let me ask you:
What would it bring more joy In your fitness right now?
Press answer and let me know – I’d like to hear that.
