What Ikea designers keep for yourself

When I went to Stockholm in February Review 40. Anniversary of IKEA’S Stockholm CollectionI knew I was in a unique position to ask the question I want the most answer to: What does the real IKEA designer from IKEA? Would that be something ubiquitous as Billy bookshelf or some vague product I haven’t seen before? The team answers were surprised by me, gave me ideas to look for pieces I haven’t previously done and underline the truth: We all love to look back.

Nike Karlsson, Designer: I have all those things that never end in something. It’s a waste yard. Prototypes.

Paulin Machado, Designer: I don’t have Nike’s sofa since 2014. years (SOFA PS 2014). I discovered it on Vintage Location. I was so happy when I got it.

DAND: So, seek Vintage Ikea, like everyone else.

Machado: Oh yes. We love it. I think you also learn a lot to see what satisfied and what it looks like. And I think it’s a good school to learn.

Johan Ajdemo, Global Design Director: I have a lot of things in my kitchen to cook things, but then I have, obviously there are sentimental projects I was involved in that. I have too Nike’s old bed day; Now we have a new day bed, but I have old. You can find it at auction that sometimes pops up from the PS collection. I have some products from that PS collection. The steel closetThe one who is the closet closet but lower. There was a lot of them to move around. And sometimes they are all in a row, sometimes they spread in different places in the house. And they were with me for a long time.

Machado: I think you have more than me now.

Karin Gustavsson, Creative Leader: I made a collection a few years ago Industrial together with the Dutch designer called Piet Hein Eek. And I have that shelf. And I collect so many books and it’s a super smart solution. You can make as How big as you want in plywood. So I have it as one of my favorites. But then I have something every day. I have Mattresses. We have such quality mattresses. So I’m happy for them. Sometimes you don’t see things, sometimes take them for (approved).

Ola Vihlborg, Designer: I have a lot of different things because I’m trying to design them, I try them and evaluate them. But we have sofas. We have two sofas we have really had a long time. Old Stockholm Sofa that I told you with a lot of pillows. The one we were 10 years old. And then we also have SedhamnIt’s another sofa from Ikea, that he was in the house for a long time.
