UnitedHealth Group CEO Andrew Vitti says the health care system is flawed

(Reuters) – UnitedHealth Group (NISE:) CEO Andrew Whitty wrote in a The New York Times (NISE:) opined on Friday that the health system was flawed and a “patchwork built over decades”.

In the NIT article, Vitti mourned the killing of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealth’s health insurance unit, last week. The killing sparked an outpouring of anger from Americans struggling to get and pay for medical care.
