I love when it is Mini crossword puzzle is just a solid piece of square, with a few black spots. Sometimes I can just answer the Crossword clues and it fills in the whole puzzle without even having to look at the Down clues. That almost happened today, until I tried to solve the Italian currency clue and entered the singular version instead of the plural (ending in a different letter). It’s no fun when the puzzle tells you, “You’ve filled in all the squares, but something’s wrong.” Oops. I fixed it, but it definitely slowed me down a bit.
