Wandering around the typical shopping center today is too often practiced in monotony, with a mixture of retail with large boxes and boutiques arranged in the loop, with a little variation on the road. To create an experience in general motivation for customers, team on Freak they took the accumulations from the external environment when they designed Capitamall Skyview.
“Market centers become too standardized and predictable,” says Sebastian Loaiza, director at the Clou. “We wanted to create the interior of the environment that resonates the feeling of walking through a lively urban street.”
Located inside the living district of Ranjiab in ChongKing, China, Mega-shopping center of 1,076,391-square is a destination that boasts a series of shops, functions and culinary offers. The look is designed as an order of interconnected spaces that gradually take place, like walking through the city center.
The monochromatic network of Plazas, alleyways and bridges are conducted by visitors through a retail center. Key elements such as open balconies and vertical circulating points provide visual connections over the floors.
Cafes, kioski and integrated sede along the tape transform corridors and atriums in sectors in which consumers can gather or download. The views of the car on the upper layers are reminiscent of the parking structures that appear in unusual heights across the city.
Pallet bold shades include Ives Klein BlueWhich reference of local street characters in similar shade and optical anchor is across the road and walls. The cobalt shades were also selected for the production of fresh and peaceful atmosphere, counterparts in the hot weather in the region. Each floor has a nuance assigned, from yellow to red, which supports orientation and adds playful touch.
Materials are still still permanent, they are necessary in high traffic zones. Silver anodized made of stainless steel and white aluminum were paired with mortar finishing for unexpected mutual transmission textures. Coured floor, ceiling features and lighting allow intuitive navigation and form a cohesive look.
Capitamall Skiviev is also a retail center and a common center planning architects as an extension of the house. “We imagined a truly urban living room, with a sense of knowledge and discoveries,” Loaiza’s notes. “It’s a place where people can buy, socialize and feel connected to their city.”
