Taylor Swiftis the most important fashion critic? Her fans, of course.

When the “Karma” singer stopped by Mercy Children’s Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, December 12, surprising patients, staff and their families by looking just as gracious as they were after a young fan complimented her outfit.

“Thank you for saying my clothes (are) tea.” You made my day,” she sweetly told one fan named Naia, who for her part was wearing a pink “What Goes Around…Comes Around” T-shirt and a friendship bracelet.

After we took a photo together and presented Naa with a signed copy of her commemorative marker Eras Tour bookThe Grammy winner left her what might be the best Swiftie Christmas present yet: TikTok cameo on her song “Bad Blood,” which Swift recorded right there in the hospital.

Taylor Swift connected with sick children at Children’s Hospital in Kansas City through the Chefs, and of course, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. “I like Travis now,” one child told Swift, 35, on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the hospital, according to a fan video shared via X. Swift did not skip (…)

“Man there’s no way I (just) woke up and made out with Taylor Swift,” wrote a fan the video. In the video, Swift, 34, ripped open the curtain in a patient’s hospital room before breaking into her iconic Eras tour pole, a move that can be seen in the music video for the hit anthem.

Swift’s look was a far cry from the bright pink beaded Roberto Cavalli bralette and skirt she wore on stage during her record-breaking tour, which wrapped up Dec. 8 in Vancouver.

Instead, she continued her plaid streak in a Miu Miu tartan button-up shirt and pleated skirt paired with black opaque tights and her signature sequin-less knee-high boots. To complete the look, she swiped her favorite Pat McGrath matte red lipstick.

While the ensemble was tame by Eras Tour standards, it was, as a fan put it, very “tea” — and very T. Swift. Plaids are a permanent fixture of her Chiefs game day apparel, which includes a Versace skirt suit and Dress by Vivienne Westwood for recent matches. Debuting her edgy luxury era in a Louis Vuitton watch and Gucci loafers, Swift rocked a Carolina Herrera plaid coat.

Swift will enter a new era when she celebrates her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13. Only time will tell what next year will bring, looking, but it’s clear she wanted to kick things off by spreading some cheer and serving up some festival-style holiday inspiration along the way.
