Swift’s virtual appearance on Billboard The music awards show comes days after she completed her record Eras Tour in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8th. This venture began in Glendale, Arizona in March 2023, spanning five continents and earned more than 2 billion dollars with a total of 149 concerts in front of a total of 10.1 million fans.
During her show on Friday, December 6 in Vancouver, Swift reflected on her journey in the past two years.
“I’ve never played more shows on tour or longer than I have with Eras Tour“, she said to those present. “There’s so many reasons for that, like no one backstage saying, ‘You need to do more shows.’ I decided to make this tour the longest I’ve ever done because you guys made this feel like so much more than a concert tour in so many ways.”
She continued: “I’ve been touring since I was 15 and this was different in every way. It feels like this escape to a planet where there’s nothing but joy and passion and togetherness and camaraderie every night going out in front of this crowd.”
Swift added that each Eras The concert allowed her to “relive (her) favorite memories” from past tours while simultaneously finding a way to “make new ones.”
Earlier this week, Swift shared a series of photos via Instagram with her last shows. “It was rare.” I was there. I remember that. ♥,” she captioned her post on Wednesday, Dec. 11, quoting lyrics from her hit song “Everything’s Too Good.”
