Taylor Swiftlike many Kansas City Chiefs fans, he was “very stressed” during Super Bowl LVIII.
Swift, 35, recalled her experience at the NFL Championship earlier this year visiting pediatric patients at Mercy Children’s Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, December 12th.
“I don’t mind.” Brock Purdy,” Swift he joked to one young fan, adding: “He put me through a lot last February, so I was really stressed for a moment. Everything ended well.”
Purdy, 24, is the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, who faced the Chiefs for a chance to win the Lombardi Trophy back in February. Swift is, of course, a Chiefs fan since her boyfriend, Travis Kelceis a tight end for the Missouri team.
Swift and Kelsey, 35, have been dating for more than a year, often supporting each other at concerts and NFL games. While talking to the pediatric patient, she agreed Kelce is a top athlete.

“Now I like Travis,” the fan said.
Swift replied emphatically: “Yes, me too! That’s an absolute yes to that,” before asking if Kelce was the kid’s “favorite player.”
“Yes, he too Patrick (Mahomes)” replied the fan, referring to the Chiefs quarterback.
“Good answer,” Swift said. “You consider this.”
On Thursday, Swift met many fans (and their Swiftie parents alike), signing copies of her official Eras Tour Book and posing for selfies. At one point, she jokingly held up a Chiefs rally towel that read, “Go Taylor boy.”

Swift admittedly wasn’t a football fan until she started dating Kelce — and now she’s designing plays. (No play from the pop star has yet been put into the Chiefs’ rotation.)

“Football is great, it shows,” Swift said TIME in her personality of the year 2023 profile. “I missed my whole life.”
At every Chiefs game Swift attended, fan footage captured her rooting for Kelce and his teammates. At the Super Bowl in February, she brought an A-list team including Blake Lively, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice and more to root for the Missouri team.
Purdy, however, was unnerved by Swift’s cheering for the opposition.
“If it comes down to it, Brock, and it’s late in the fourth quarter, are you ready to disappoint Taylor Swift?” one sports dictator asked Purdy ahead of the big game.
With a smile, Purdy replied, “Yeah, I’ll leave it at that.”
Purdy nearly got his wish as Super Bowl LVIII came down to the wire — and overtime. In the end, the Chiefs won 25-22. Swift celebrated with Kelce on the court, highlighting the moment with a sweet kiss on the side.
