Taylor Swiftis almost two years Eras Tour the run touched fans around the world — including her longtime bassist Amos Heller.

Heller, 47, who joined Swift’s band in 2007, took to social media on Tuesday, Dec. 10, to reflect on the highs and lows of the tour.

Sharing a series of photos of himself and Swift, 34, performing at various locations, Heller wrote Instagram carousel with a long and moving tribute as he detailed the “ride of a lifetime.”

Starting with some of the toughest demands of the tour, Heller wrote, “No more early lobby calls. There are no more airports. No more lugging suitcases and Mono bags up the escalators, through the line, without baggage claim. No more heating, no more cooling. No more looking at the clock 20 times to make sure I don’t miss a call. No more saying goodbye to my family, no more “how long does he sleep?” No more jet lag.”

Heller’s tribute then moved on to the challenges of traveling to the far corners of the world as Eras Tourwhich held 152 shows on five continents after starting in March 2023, became the highest grossing tour of all time.

The musician then moved on to his most memorable moments, including feeling like a “gladiator” as he walked into any stadium. “No more screaming texts with a perfect stranger who is now your best friend.” No more staring in awe at my family/friends who only moments ago were sharing a funny joke, suddenly transformed into legendary titans, rising and thriving in blinding lights,” he wrote. “I will no longer be called upon to dig as deep as I can, demanding the best I am capable of.”

Heller compared the tour final performanceheld in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8, for a “graduation” of sorts, before ending his post with a message to Swift.

“You command so much respect and admiration from all who are fortunate enough to add their efforts to yours.” Your blend of focus, heart, endurance and joy brings out the best in everyone around you,” he wrote. “Thank you for entrusting me with my part of your vision.” It was the ride of a lifetime. I love you.”

Swift confirmed the final Eras Tour show on June 13, calling the experience “the most exhausting, all-consuming, yet most joyful, rewarding, wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life,” at the time.

During the announcement, which took place during the tour’s 100th concert in Liverpool, England, she added that the tour had overtaken “everything” before thanking fans for their support.
