T-Mobile’s new internet plans are here, now with free Hulu and Paramount Plus

T-Mobile Home Internet just got a lot more enticing. Starting this week, you will now receive free subscriptions for Hulu and Paramount Plus when you sign up for T-Mobile’s $70 all-in plan – now one of the the best internet deals there – and increased speeds thanks to new passing devices.

On its Enhanced Internet ($60 per month) and All-In Internet ($70) plans, T-Mobile’s new network device typically provides download speeds between 133 and 415 Mbps, while the device used on the Rally Internet plan from $50 gets you between 87 and 318Mbps. Both are a step up from the 72 – 245 Mbps range that the older gateway gives you.

Amplified and All-In Internet plans also come with Advanced Cyber ​​Security, which provides features such as anomaly detection and automatic blocking of malicious connections.

The wireless Internet provider currently offers two plans for $50 and $70 per month, which have roughly the same features as the new Rally and All-In plans.

T-Mobile’s upgraded speeds may still be slow for larger homes with lots of connected devices. CNET writer Amanda Kooser has been using T-Mobile Home Internet for two years and found that download speeds were usually around 80 Mbps, but could sometimes drop as low as 16.7 Mbps.

This is to be expected with wireless internet, where speeds are heavily influenced by network congestion and the location of your home in relation to the nearest cell tower. Still, data suggests that most people are fine with T-Mobile’s speeds. These new plans also come with a price lock guarantee. Previously, the provider’s “Price Lock” was a promise to pay your final bill if you ever canceled because of a price increase, but these new plans have updated terms: T-Mobile will never raise your prices as long as you stay on your plan.

Are T-Mobile’s New Plans a Good Deal?

T-Mobile’s internet plans were good before adding these streaming benefits, and now they’re even better. Its $70 plan still comes with all the same features as before—network access point, faster gateway device, advanced security—but now adds two streaming subscriptions. Hulu (with ads) costs $10 per month and Paramount Plus Essential costs $8, so you get $18 a month.

But if you really don’t need these services – or if you already have them through other offers like Disney Plus, Hulu and the Max package — The $70 All-In plan is much less enticing. True, adding a hotspot would help boost your signal in a larger home, but I’m skeptical that T-Mobile would even provide enough speed for homes like this.
