After Sydney Sweeney was photographed sunbathing in a bikinithe pictures sparked a flurry of critical comments about her appearance.
Sweeney, 27, didn’t dig it lying down — and she quickly shut them down by announcing them to her Instagram. In a social media video on Friday, Dec. 13, Sweeney made a montage of all the criticism.
“She’s too pale and needs to lose a few model relationships,” wrote one, while another chimed in: “Whoever this person is, she has a terrible body.”
Other social media users called Sweeney’s body “very chunky” and speculated that the actress could be an “Ozempic candidate.” (Ozempic and similar semaglutides are prescribed for people struggling with weight problems. Injections are not recommended for occasional weight loss.)

Sweeney reposted the video to her Instagram Story on Saturday, December 14, with the caption: “Christy Martin Strong 💪 💪 🥊 .”
Sweeney was recently cast as Martin, a former professional boxer upcoming biopic.
“Well, cats out of the bag… so here’s some BTS from my movie I’m working on right now,” Anyone but you the star wrote over Instagram in October. “Over the past few months, I’ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman — a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring.

Sweeney added: “Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength and hope, and I am honored to step into her shoes and share her powerful story with all of you. More to come soon.”
Sweeney’s passionate applause she was also supported by many of her peers in Hollywood. She even rehired the makeup artist Melissa Hernandezown comments about the video.
“PERIOD!” Hernandez wrote via her Instagram story. “So proud of @sidnei_sveenei for embracing her transformation for this role – your dedication and strength is truly inspiring. It’s heartbreaking how cruel and miserable people can be, but don’t let their negativity overshadow your brilliance.”
Rachel Brosnahan, Isabella Merced and Lili Reinhart were among the other celebrities to whom Sweeney gave back.
“It’s always wild to see people publicly compete as pieces with comments like that,” Reinhart, 28, responded on Friday. “You look amazing and your dedication to your project is very inspiring.” 💪🏻❤.”
For her part, Merced, 23, added: “The thing is, those people would never say that in person. Too scared. But if they ever did? best believe it’s hands 😘.”
Sweeney’s mother, Lisashe also noted in a separate comment that she was “beyond proud” of Euphoria alum.
