Sherwin Williams “Dress Blues” Painted Kitchen Island

If you have a small kitchen that could benefit from the additional desktop or a kitchen storage, then you may like the portable kitchen island that I found and how I colored and arrived to suit my kitchen.

I shared a post with you about it last week New Island of Kitchens I bought me to replace the metal I had before.

I told you as soon as I finish adjusting in my style, I would show you what I did. I’m done and I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out.

That’s what seemed to be a very firm and firm wood wood before I added my style.

There are many ways to adapt this wood desk / island to simply rub the wood conditioning on it, seal it cleansed by politi to paint wood tone or paint paint.

After I was watching all these options I decided to take a picture of the base using Sherwin Williams Dress Blues Color.

How I Painted Table / Woodwood Wood

I would usually choose to use Sherwin Williams Proclasic formula color because I used it Paint KitchensBut the guy at the color counter told me that the color could not be made by proclamation in the neighborhood and recommended that I try their emerald formula.

I decided to do it in a semi-gloss, so the base would be easy to wipe clean.

How I sealed the tree

To seal the top of the tree, I returned and back and back as I wanted to finish. The two readers mentioned they liked them Waterlock For sealing butchers and wood. Several others liked the use of mineral spirits on food most used for wood cutting plates. Both are great options.

Since I will not use the surface as a cutting plate while I have Boos cutting block To decrease, I decided to try a new minwax product Polycrillic Max in ultra flat finish.

I love how good it went and the best of all the sealed woodless wood, so it looks like a bare tree. I followed the instructions on the label. I wanted to make sure that it was properly sealed and used two coats – grinding between coats to ensure that the second coat is well adhered to.

How I stood a tree for wood

The wooden desktop / island has a drawer and two shelves under the drawer. The shelves can fuck on several different heights depending on what you want to place on them.

The drawer had plain handle for trays of wood. I don’t care about it, so I replaced her with a chrome brush at the style of bin I bought at home.

I needed my time to make this new island project. It took me pretty few months to find a ready-made thing that would fit into a small space. Then I didn’t rush into color choosing and stylish.

I made it look at the pictures and cuts that I took from Pinterest and magazine to make sure of what I had finished working, it would be true for my kitchen as my own style of decorating.
