RHOSLC Cast Teases ‘Different’ Season 5 Reunion

The The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City the stars recently filmed their Season 5 reunion, and they didn’t hold back.

“This reunion was different from others in the way we got to the depth of the relationship,” Whitney Rose exclusively narrated Us Weekly at DIRECTV “Christmas in Kathy” Hilton‘s party on Tuesday, December 10. “We’ve actually come to a corner of the problem where in the past they were just yelling and screaming.”

She added: “There’s a lot of yelling and screaming, gaslighting, crying, all the tactics, but I feel like this reunion, we’ve actually gotten into a few relationships to the depth of the issues.” To me, that’s beautiful, because maybe there’s a way forward.”

Whitney (38) jokes that she is “hoping for the fifth year in a row” that she and Lisa Barlow they can stay on good terms (because they never managed to make amends for long at their reunion).

“I hope so, because after a season of being called a liar, when there’s no confirmation that I lied about anything, it’s obviously a manipulator tactic,” Whitney said. “When someone calls you a liar, they’re afraid you’ll tell the truth about them, but I made a truce with her that I would never intentionally try to hurt her.” That’s a lot of the past, but I think there was enough resolved and enough unresolved to move forward into another exciting season, hopefully.

Lisa, 49, also teased RHOSLC reunion resolutions that took place in a special ceremony during Tuesday’s holiday gathering.

“I feel like there’s always some resolution at reunions, but not everyone has a solution,” Lisa teased.

Whitney and Lisa acted RHOSLC from season 1, in addition Meredith Marks, Heather Gay and Marie Cosby. Angie Katsanevas and Bronwyn Newport they later received their own snowflakes, becoming the official stars of the series. (Yen Shah and Monica Garcia also briefly joined the ladies on the Bravo hit.)

Angie, 50, for her part, said U.S on Tuesday that it was “probably our best reunion.”

“I think they’ve all been going through a lot of tough issues and challenges,” Angie teased. “I think you see a lot of people who have been able to reconcile that you wouldn’t expect.” There were funny moments in there and it was 12 o’clock and it felt like two hours.”

She went on to note that “there’s a lot of craziness,” including one housewife who “maybe almost” walked off the set.

“That’s probably all I can tease,” Angie pointed out.

For Mary, the reunion felt like a “closed chapter” for season five — especially in terms of her friendship with Meredith, 52.

“It could happen again next year because you just never know with these ladies, they really forget it and let it go and move on,” said Mary, 52. U.S at Hilton’s party, which was held at her private residence in Los Angeles. “But you know, it’s fragile.”

Mary added: “I apologized and said, ‘If I hurt you, I’m sorry.’ That’s not my intention, but you have to take responsibility too. You hurt me too.’ She says, ‘Oh, I did, and I didn’t, sorry.’ And then we reconciled.”

Newcomer Bronwyn, 39, also wanted reunion resolutions.

“I felt like watching it – it was.” my first season looking at myself – there were a lot of things I was unhappy about myself or felt I could do,” said Bronwyn U.S. “So I went in with that mindset and I think some other people did and some didn’t, it was a recipe for disaster.”

In the end, she redeemed herself only with “some” of her colleagues.

“I feel like it’s going that way,” Bronwyn added, noting that she even wished Lizzy well. “Lisa and I probably won’t be chatting tonight. If I see her from afar, I’d wish her well (and say,) ‘Merry Christmas, Gorge Baby.’ Maybe I’ll mail it to her. I don’t know if we should say that personally.”

During her chat with us, Lisa said their friendship status was “complicated.”

“When you ask your friend to do something for you and they do it, that’s a level of responsibility you have to take for it,” Lisa explained. “I’m Sagittarius, I’m moving on.”

All in all, RHOSLC the ladies hope the various reconciliations are enough to start Season 6 on the right track.

“We’re going to start filming again soon, so I think that’s very important,” Angie concluded. “We’re all warming up.” We all say things that we regret, but to be able to move on, it was really cool to see some friendships that you didn’t know would ever come back together.”
