Those of you who are members of me Private Facebook Group It can be remembered to look at this transformer a few months ago.
Then my daughter went to the school camp, so I decided to surprise her with the transformation of the bedroom … Whirlwind style during the three-day range!
At that time, I achieved it during (and she was satisfied for the results!) However, several elements were still missing.
Well, after slowly adding pieces and pieces over the last few months, last week I have installed a long-awaited delay for some disposal and without any reason, and I finally feel like I can call the finished space!
If you know my usual style, which has a subtle vintage eclecticism, you can probably see a slight departure here. The main incentive for this shift, of course, is, of course, due to the vision of my daughter.
Before she went to camp, we’d talk about her “dream room”, and a clear direction was a neutral Boho, neutral Boho, neutral Boho!
So, until I’m my style that’s in style, I gave it to her, and I’ll be happy to say that I love the way things … and more importantly, my daughter is also more important.
Given the BoHo currently “at Trend”, I was a little worried that the room can run the risk of being a little short-term. As someone who appreciates spaces with a sense of long ventilation (it is clearly said to reorder every five minutes is not my thing) This meant to keep canvas simply and use mostly decor to create true vibration.
The first thing I did has established a schedule, so I could determine the main pieces. If you follow up with me for a while, you’ll probably get familiar with Charlotte’s bedroom and how teen it is. Here’s what it looked like in the last six years …
As you can see, it was definitely time for Tween Transition!
When I originally put it “big girl“The room there was a clear winner of the configuration and it took me a long time to decide that it was best to stick to it!
The only The bed location is in front of the window, which basically dictates positioning of the remaining furniture. I thought about switching the table and closet, though because of the sleek door, the largest part of the chest just felt too designed next to the entrance.
Originally, I considered both upciklism existing bed and chests, although it appeared with one bed looked like a good idea (unfortunately, it is not practical to go bigger). And although it is relatively juvenile, the added width of the king with one bed meant that the current cabinet was covered too much. Every inch counts in such a petite space! Although this can be tempting to neuter the furniture in a small room on behalf of the maximization, I find some space between objects really helps in breath and feel you feel. Yes, it can be frustrating finding pieces that have only Real dimensions although I can do it really a big difference.
The bed was a somewhat happy accident that I read on used locations and happened over one I liked it was perfect, but it’s too expensive in $ 450. Fortunately, the seller sent the original source and when I checked it to sell 50% discount (originally $ 700 to $ 350 – with free shipping!).
I would love to share a connection even though it was interrupted. It was a bunk bed from furniture in freedom.
Given the original closet could no longer work, I decided to find something with extra height to provide more storage. While Charlotte no longer had to knock as many toys as possible, it was fair to say that all her clothes certainly became bigger! With only a small built-in wardrobe, they are needed somewhere to excess flow.
I would love something antique with a lot of personality, although most of the chests I came across was too extensive. Since I was on a solid time frame that I compromised with these basic commodents from the market for $ 50.
After removing light and grinding, return the dark spot (which really wasn’t fun and took it forever – Hence, it was mildly rustically ended because I ran out of time!) I added some new basic kmart lever.
I actually bought the table before I started a turnaround, because it has already grasped the original mini.
In keeping with my problems in proportion, I could not find the right one to fit, so it was actually a table with a hallway. I found him on the market for $ 40.
I didn’t like the heart’s feet, so I interrupted them and added small brass wheels for some extra character. It is clear that I also painted that white to suit a neutral pain theme and attached the same buttons I used to the chests.
The chair was at the last time of the purchase from Kmart. I was looking for a really sweet vintage chair even though I ran out of time.
Although it is not an obvious change, I painted all the walls and refreshed archities. In addition to the fact, the original color was a little tired, the walls had a different yellow subton that felt a little dated. This new color, which is a duluk white duck quarter, a soft greige that has more depth and earthy look.
I know it’s just boring, although you get the most out of the door I added a mirror, some wall hooks and a pin board.
This is often the overlooked area, but when working with a small space, it really pays to look at all available space! I had plans to do it, although that basic setup does business.
Since there is no night sleep key as such, I added a sweet little wall shelf behind the bed that provides a perfect drop for a book and drink.
I used the same brackets that kept the tables shelves in her original room and simply reduced the base of the pine to fit in.
I also attached a cute lamp in the connectors on the side of the closet.
For me, this was few layers about $ 100 although it was a Christmas present for my daughter and only the most perfect little light!
Jute Rug was a cheap Kmart find, and the windows are shears out of bunnies.
It was my first time that the S-Fold curtain was setting up while it was a bit disposable easily enough. I decided to mount the ceiling the path and I used two panels so that they are beautiful and full and can open in the center as desired. Behind the arrows there is a blocking roller, and heavy lifting in terms of light and climate control is performed behind the ceremony.
The decor is all pretty straight forward.
It is clear that the heroes are plants, especially the great devilty ivy in bed.
The printing of the wall is free downloads I found on an impermeable and chased through OfficeLovors. The frames are just then from Kmart.
The wall shelf and accordion and accordion are also simply from Kmart.
Smaller accessories are a mixture of sentimental, practical and decorative items. The small jar on the Cane’s shelves keeps fur Cooper, Urchin was found from our trip to Australia and Giraffe was a folding gift from Africa. On the closet is also lobby on the fox that my daughter was found in the stupids behind our house (loves bones and things!).
The range of bowl holds shells and rocks collected, along with some of her jewelry. They are perfect for slabs small pieces and pieces, not leave them all over the place! And only in case someone asks, “Maddie” is her favorite cousin.
Bed linen is a mixture of things I have already possessed some new pieces. Botanical leaves have joined the Rust Polka Dot (all found on reflective) such a charming combinator and really works to add heat and interest. Things are kept fresh with a simple white coated (from Kmart).
As always, feel free to ask questions if you are after more information.
