So once again you waited until the last minute to get one presents together for the ho-ho-ho a gift– the season of giving. You also don’t want (or can’t afford) to spend money on them presents you waited until the last moment to not get it.
Whether you’re a first-timer on the Naughty Don’t Give Gifts list or a repeat offender, there are still plenty of opportunities to stay in the good graces of the people you care about most this season.
Here is a list of gifts you can create using artificial intelligence tools that could distract your loved ones from the fact that you are not wrap up do it yourself.
Not many people have the money or the connections to commission an artist and professional writer to create a holiday-themed bedtime story or coloring book just for the young children or very bored adults in their lives.
With the power of artificial intelligence, you can create a special bedtime tradition that can be passed down through the generations just with ChatGPT and a free online design tool, Canvaas your resources. Here’s how:
Step 1: Log in to ChatGPT or any other AI chat tool based on text prompts and ask it to write you a short story using the names and preferences of children and adults as main themes or elements. For my experiment, I asked him to write me a short holiday-themed children’s bedtime story featuring a fire engine named Henry whose parents are Jennifer and Andrew. ChatGPT immediately produced a 500 word story that was actually pretty good.
Step 2: Make any changes you may need to make to the story that ChatGPT comes up with.
Step 3: Create an account and log in to Canva’s free tool Magic Media, a text-to-image generator.
Step 4: Copy and paste the text from the story from ChatGPT into Canva and select the images you want to accompany each page.
You don’t even have to know how to boil water to give a unique cookbook to the celebrity chef in your life, and you could make a cookbook of recipes designed entirely and specifically for one individual using AI tools.
Step 1: Ask ChatGPT or another text-based AI tool of your choice to give you as many recipes as it can think of using a particular favorite ingredient or desired dish.
Step 2: Use a free AI text to image generator, e.g openart.aito add some images to gorgeous procedurally generated recipes and create a cover for your custom cookbook.
Step 3: Drop these pictures and recipes into a Word document or Google Docs, print them out as a PDF, and send them to the foodie gift recipient.
Sometimes the holidays can be a little difficult when we remember loved ones long ago, but AI tools like RunwayMLthat use generative algorithms to turn still images into live action footage, offer a window into a world where you might see a video of that person laughing again.
Step 1: Register or login to RunwayML.
Step 2: Select Start a new session.
Step 3: Upload a picture of a person, pet, or other scene you want to animate.
Step 4: Give the tool some information about what you want to happen in the animation and click “Generate”.
Step 5: Download and share!
If you’re worried that these AI-generated gifts won’t make the cut this holiday season, just remember that the best things in life are free, it’s the thought that counts and at the rate online activity is evolving, real-life gifts may be old hat anyway next year. Happy Holidays!
