Mithali Raj quits Gujarat Titans ahead of VPL 2025 auction

Mithali Raj has parted ways with Gujarat Titans as a mentor and advisor ahead of the VPL auction 2025. After disappointing performances in two seasons, the former India captain has joined a new venture as the mentor of the Andhra Cricket Association.

Mithali Raj left Gujarat Titans

Indian former cricketer and captain, Mithali Raj stepped down as mentor and advisor to Gujarat Titans ahead of the VPL 2025 auction. This decision followed the poor performance of the franchise in the last two seasons. Gujarat Titans ended both seasons by being at the bottom of the table with a point.

According to reports, Mithali Raj signed a contract with Gujarat Titans for 3 years but she parted ways earlier. Mithali Raj has now joined the Andhra Cricket Association as a mentor and consultant for women’s cricket operations.

Gujarat Titans coaching changes

Gujarat Titans bowling coach Nusheen Al Qadeer, along with Mithali Raj, also decided not to extend her two-year contract. Nushin, who has been instrumental in developing young talent, is now coaching the Indian women’s under-19 team.

However, other coaching staff of Gujarat Titans such as head coach Michael Klinger and coach Carl Hopkinson will continue in their current roles.
