Mitchell Marsh is fit to play in Brisbane for the third Test against India.

Mitchell Marsh has declared himself fit to play unlimited overs in the Brisbane Test against India. He trusted the medical staff of Australia to manage their work effectively.

Mitchell Marsh Ready To Bowl

Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has declared that he is ready to play unlimited overs in the Gabba Test against India. Despite managing back stiffness earlier this year, Marsh expressed confidence in his fitness and praised the medical staff for looking after him.

Marsh has been dealing with ongoing back problems ever since Australia‘s white-ball tour of Great Britain in September. He also bowled sparingly there. Although, doubts arose after the first Test in Perth. He bowled 17 overs there but felt the difficulties. Marsh now feels confident about his fitness.

“I’ll try to be ready to bowl as much as I need Patti (Cummins),” Marsh said. “Our all-rounders haven’t bowled much in Australia recently, but I’m grateful to our medical staff and coaches who have given me space to prepare.”

Australia’s dominant attack in the Adelaide Test limited Marsh’s bowling opportunities. Regardless, March remains eager to contribute in any capacity with the ball.

Back stiffness under control

Marsh has been struggling with back stiffness since the Sheffield Shield. He also missed bowling chances. However, the all-rounder credits the Australian team’s medical staff for guiding him through his recovery.

“I had a broken introduction, but now I’m in a good place,” Marsh emphasized. “Whether it’s five overs or more, I’m ready to contribute.”

An unusual dismissal in Adelaide

Marsh also reflected on the unusual incident in the Adelaide Test. When he walked after he believed he had missed the delivery Ravichandran Ashwinonly he repeated that he did not show contact with the ball.

“I thought I broke it,” Marsh jokingly admitted. “When I saw the replay, my head went right into my hands and everyone was laughing about it.”
