Mexican stocks are down in late trade; S&P/BMV IPC down 0.16% by Investing.com



Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses across the sector led losses across the board.

At the close in Mexico, it fell 0.16%.

The best performers of the session were Grupo Electricity SAB De CV (BMV: ), which rose 20.84% ​​or 68.46 points to trade at 397.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma SAB de CV (BMV: ) added 2.71% or 9.34 points to end at 354.37 and Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV: ) was up 2.19% or 0, 60 points to 28.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cemek SAB de CV (BMV: ), which fell 3.47% or 0.40 points to trade at 11.12 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV: ) declined 2.87% or 11.33 points to end at 382.83 and Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV: ) declined 2.72% . or 0.50 points to 17.91.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Mexican Stock Exchange by 115 to 102, with 13 unchanged.

Gold futures for February delivery rose 1.28%, or 34.67, to $2,753.07 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for January delivery rose 2.48% or 1.70 to $70.29 a barrel, while the February Brent crude contract rose 1.88% or 1.36 to 73. $55 per barrel.

USD/MKSN was down 0.11% at 20.12, while EUR/MKSN was down 0.49% at 21.12.

US dollar index futures rose 0.26% to 106.36.
