Investigation of Liam PayneHis death could soon lead to the arrest of two men who allegedly supplied the singer with drugs.
The police could make an arrest Brian Nahuel Paiz and Ezequiel Pereira during the holiday season, the court reporter claimed that Us Weekly on Wednesday, December 11. Both allegedly gave Payne cocaine before he died on October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Paiz, a suspect whom Payne met at a restaurant where Paiz works as a waiter, previously denied supplying the musician with drugs in an interview with an Argentine news agency on the 9th. Telefe News. He claimed that Payne was “already under the influence of drugs” as the two exchanged information and later met at the CasaSur Palermo hotel, where Payne was staying. “We did drugs together, but I never took drugs from him or accepted money,” Paiz claims.
Pereira is employed at CasaSur along with the hotel manager Gilda Martin and Esteban Reinaldo Grassihead of hotel security. Martin and Grassi also face manslaughter charges in connection with Payne’s death, the source said U.S on Wednesday.
Javier Mozoreporter at America TVclaimed earlier on an Argentinian news station that there are “22 forensic scans on different mobile phones and laptops that the court has asked the cybercrime unit of the city police to investigate. In particular — and pay attention to this detail — there is one forensic part that the investigators and the court consider very significant,” he said. “It concerns the DVR of this restaurant, which is right next door but shares a courtyard with CasaSur.”
According to Mozzo, investigators are “trying to see how he fell — this sounds harsh, but it’s true — trying to figure out the seconds before Liam Payne’s body ended up on the ground.” It is public knowledge that his head hit the base of the umbrella. But what they want to determine is the moments just before Payne fell from the third floor to the ground floor.
After the tragedy, the head of the emergency services of Buenos Aires Alberto Crescenti stated that the 31-year-old star of One Direction suffered “severe injuries” which first responders were unable to treat by the time they arrived on the scene at the hotel.
Payne’s preliminary autopsy report stated that he died from multiple injuries that included “internal and external bleeding” and that he suffered “multiple traumas” that contributed to his death.
ABC News later reported that a partial autopsy was revealed Payne had “pink cocaine” — a recreational drug that usually mixes methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA — as well as cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack in his system at the time of his death.
This was announced by the prosecution on November 7 three people were accused with abandonment resulting in death and supplying and facilitating narcotics in connection with Payne’s death.
prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea requested the arrest of three people in a 180-page indictment filed by a judge Laura Graciela Bruniard.
“The first defendant, a companion of the artist during his stay in Buenos Aires, was charged with abandonment resulting in death — an offense under Article 106 of the Penal Code, punishable by five to 15 years in prison — in connection with the supply. and facilitating narcotics,” the statement said.
The statement continued: “The second defendant, an employee of the hotel, is charged with supplying Paine with cocaine on two occasions while staying at the hotel, and the third defendant, also a narcotics supplier, is charged with two additional confirmed cases of cocaine supply on October 14 . Both are charged with the procurement of narcotics”.
The forensic team also ruled out “self-harm or third-party involvement” in Payne’s death and noted that his “lack of defensive posture upon impact suggests (he) may have fallen into a semi- or fully unconscious state”.
After the indictment, Paine’s friend Rogelio “Roger” Nores denied being involved in the incident despite visiting the singer’s hotel on the day of his death.
“I never left Liam. I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened,” Nores said. Daily Mail in a statement dated November 7. “There were over 15 people in the hotel lobby talking and joking with him when I left. I could never have imagined that something like this would happen.”
Nores added that he was “heartbroken” by the tragedy and that he “misses my friend every day.”
Report of Rolling Stone on Tuesday, December 10, revealed that a judge is weighing charges against the hotel manager (reportedly Martin) as well as the receptionist who called 911.
The publication also reported that the receptionist – who called 911 twice on the morning of Payne’s death – was still working at the hotel. Rolling Stone shared details from the 911 call, where the receptionist told dispatchers the guest was “high on drugs and alcohol” and was “breaking up the whole room.”
There was apparently a second 911 call in which the receptionist stated that a guest’s life “may be in danger”.
“Are you also sending the police or not?” he asked in the second call, Per Rolling Stoneasking the dispatcher to “just” send SAME, which is Argentina’s emergency medical service.
