The NFL does not currently intend to terminate its employment relationship with Jay-Z amid recent allegations of misconduct.
“We’re aware of the civil charges and Jay-Z’s really strong response to it,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell he said at a press conference on Wednesday, December 11. “We know that there is a court case going on now.” From our point of view, our relationship with them is not changing, including our preparations for the next Super Bowl.

On Sunday, December 8, news broke that Jay-Z, 55, was accused of rape in a civil suit. An anonymous plaintiff claimed that Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) and Sean “Diddy” Combs he raped her in 2000 when she was 13 years old. Both Diddy and Jay-Z have denied the “heinous” allegations.
“My wife and I will have to sit our children, one of whom is at an age where her friends will surely see the press and question the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay-Z he wrote in a lengthy statement released on Sunday. “I mourn another loss of virginity.” Children should not have to suffer this at a young age. It is unfair to try to understand the inexplicable levels of malice intended to destroy families and the human spirit.”

The next day, Jay-Z submitted a request for dismissal legal complaint hours before they went out with wife Beyoncé in the the world premiere of her film Mufasa.
