Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy and his girlfriend Alli Leverattended Kathy Hilton‘s party the night he was allegedly arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.
An eyewitness told exclusively Us Weekly that Kennedy, 32, “looked like he was in great spirits” at DIRECTV’s Christmas at an event at Kathy’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday, December 10.
“(James) and Ali were cuddling and taking photos,” the insider said. “He seemed to be in a good space and dancing, singing and having fun.”
However, during the latter part of the evening, Kennedy was seen “running” through the party and “causing a scene,” another source said. U.S.

“His friend chased him from Kathy’s basement through Kathy’s backyard, and James looked furious as he ran away,” the insider claimed. “The guy chasing him almost fell into the pool and dropped the lantern in the pool causing a huge scene. Everyone was wondering what was going on.”
A source called Kennedy’s behavior “erratic,” suggesting Kennedy was “in a mood” on the red carpet before the event began and “ran off to enter the party” instead of giving interviews.
U.S approached Kennedy’s representatives for comment.
U.S confirmed Thursday, Dec. 12, that police in Burbank, Calif., were dispatched after receiving a call about an argument between a man and a woman at a residence. The police assessed it as “domestic violence”, which led to Kennedy’s arrest.
Kennedy was convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail. Charges are still pending.
A witness reportedly saw Kennedy arguing with the woman before he allegedly grabbed her, Per TMZwho first broke the news. The agency stated that officers who responded to the scene did not see any visible injuries as a result of the reported altercation.
It has not been confirmed whether Leuber is the woman involved in the alleged incident.

Less than three months after Vanderpump Rules co-stars James Kennedy and Rachel “Rachel” Lewis called off their engagement, he began dating Alli Lever. The English native met Luber, an entertainment journalist, that January after his breakup with Lewis. “I’m kind of seeing someone,” Kennedy revealed during the February 2022 Lala Kent episode “Give Them (…)”.
After the news of his arrest, former VPR costar Kristen Doute reacted to TMZ‘s post. “Finally,” she wrote on Thursday via her Instagram Story, reposting the house’s article. (Kennedy previously dated Doute beginning in 2014.)
Kennedy and Luber began dating in 2022 while he was a cast member VPR. Levber was a regular cast member in seasons 10 and 11 before being announced by Bravo cast shakeup ahead of Season 12. (Kennedy first appeared on the show during Season 2 and later became a main cast member in Season 4.)
In February, Luber responded to rumors that Kennedy had been physically abusive during their relationship. Ex VPR costar Scheana Shay mentioned the December 2023 comment Teddy Mellencamp after she and Tamra Judge were in a car with a couple.

“I think it was two years ago (after the MTV Movie and TV Awards). And she said they were going to an afterparty at TomTom. And during that car ride, there was an argument between two people in the car, so she and Teddy had to get out of the car,” Shay said during a February episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast. “They had to separate the two people in the car.” And (they) went on to suggest that James was involved, and now there are rumors that Teddy may have hinted at a fight between you and James.
Luber denied the speculation, noting that Kennedy was “drunk in the back of the car” Mellencamp was referring to, but said he never “physically harmed” or “assaulted.”
“It’s crazy to me that it’s the most asked question (for me). It makes me really sad, because no, I’m fine. That never happened. “There were no physical conflicts,” she said at the time. “Yes, we were in the car together.” I thought we were having fun. We had fun. But then James and I had an argument, but there was no physical attack. I wasn’t bleeding, and they didn’t have to get out of the car and separate us. So that didn’t happen. That’s all I’ll say about it.”
