It has been a long time since I shared a good old-fashioned furniture depending on.
And I absolutely love the way this turned out!
I was on the money for some time for a few cabinets to extend parent, something to act as a wide complete – item to provide additional storage of things like food and servicing.
I was really a sharp something old with a lot of character to turn off fresh, new tea cuisine, although most of what I came to be too fashionable or too priced. It was time to start thinking more creatively.
So when I found myself at this date of Borove Hutch on the market, I could see the potential.
Prices at just $ 30, he had the right proportions and a simple, primitive look I was after.
But … due to the air conditioning unit on the wall where I planned to position it, and the fact that the nearby kitchenette has already had open shelves, the Hutch section is not required.
Most Hutch units were built in two sections, so they are generally easy to dissect (many even set to dismantle for transport). Fortunately, it was the case in this case, so the upper part removal was quick and simple.
I needed to apologize at this moment for my lack of photos. This project was taken during my absence of blogging so I have not taken it in detail. It was actually a rather hasty makeover done in anticipation of the family of my sister entering the extension of the apartment. Although I finished it more than a year ago, until this week, it really accelerated, and that he stood properly, which really brought space to life!
Although I wanted this piece to be quite founded and without help, I also wanted it to be a bit unique.
So, after removing Hutch department, we added a little decorative base to create a more prominent stand (only was it not so straight up – if it makes sense?), Together with raised apron to the top.
I love the way the apron gives it a “server” sense of type.
Both the stand and apron are made of left wrinkle we already had. They simply dissected to size (for foreign apron we used jigsaw to create curves), then glued and in place. It was super easy.
I always planned to paint this piece, and after thinking about the obvious choice of different shades of white or black, I decided to be a deep colored color I use colors I already had though is very similar to the “Gunmetal” duluk “).
I know, I know, you’re probably sick to see me use green, but we go aside the fact that my favorite color, really really made sense here. It compliments prominently in the noon in the kitchen cabinet and works on references to the walls of the room in powder (I will soon share!) Shortly with the bathroom chair and back a few years ago.
They teamed up with valid views on a hill and other spraying green in decor, really helps to create a sense of harmony in the overall extension of the apartment.
As mentioned earlier, I wanted to balance a clean new kitchenette with something with character, so I also decided to dial with dark wax.
Yes, I realize that there is no need for trouble at this point not very “inside”, and some of you probably turn your eyes over now, but I’ve never worried about trends. I’m really happy with the way it merges and love the rustic patina.
In terms of style, I started with a collection of ancient artwork, and then left there. The brass and some books (by normal), then quite unusual, some dried brown leaves instead of fresh leaves that I generally decide. I guess I concluded color color enough green!
Here before and after …
And here is a wider shot that peeks for several other pieces in the room …
