Jay-Z and Beyonce they were “so upset” about a recent civil lawsuit accusing the rapper of rape, multiple sources say Us Weekly.
“His name was dragged into the Diddy drama from the beginning, so they knew something was going to happen.” They just didn’t know when,” says the source exclusively U.S. “Jay-Z confessed to Beyoncé that he is innocent and that this is a total money grab.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs was charged with misconduct by multiple individuals since late 2023, denying all claims. He is currently in prison on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy and transportation for prostitution. Diddy, 55, was arrested in September and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
On Sunday, December 8, news broke that Diddy and Jay-Z, 55, were named in the newly filed civil suitin which an anonymous plaintiff accused two rappers of raping her when she was 13 in 2000. Both Diddy and Jay-Z have denied the “heinous” allegations, and the Roc Nation founder, for his part, has already filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.

The next day, Jay-Z (real name Sean Carter) stepped out with Beyonce, whom he married in 2008, and their 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy at the world premiere of their new Disney movie Mufasa. Another insider, meanwhile, is talking U.S that Beyoncé is “putting on a brave face” for the kids.
“She’s moving forward with her life, still committed to her scheduled performance in two weeks and will be there for her family as much as she can,” another source added, referring to her upcoming Cowboy Carter Christmas special i NFL Christmas Halftime Show the game. “She’s not going to let this ruin her image.”
A third source also reveals that Beyoncé believes in her husband’s innocence.
“Beyoncé doesn’t believe a word they’re saying,” the insider claims, adding that the Grammy winner and Jay Z believe the lawsuit is an alleged attempt at extortion.

Jay-Z issued a lengthy statement denying his involvement on Sunday, mentioning that his “only heartbreak” involved Beyoncé and their children.
“My wife and I will have to sit our children, one of whom is at an age where her friends will surely see the press and question the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay wrote in his statement to Z. “I mourn another loss of virginity.” Children should not have to suffer this at a young age. It is unfair to try to understand the inexplicable levels of malice intended to destroy families and the human spirit.”
