Garcell says Teddy will be ‘thrilled’ to drop names on RHOBH Season 14

Teddy Mellencamp is no longer on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsbut that didn’t stop her name from being mentioned throughout season 14.

Garcelle Beauvais he said at the end of Tuesday 10.12. RHOBA episode where Teddy, 43, would be “thrilled” by her constant name-dropping – but let’s recap how we got there. (Teddy reacted to this during an interview with Us Weekly exclusively.)

“Dorit, I have a question. You reposted something that Teddy wrote,” Garcell, 58, said during the latest RHOBA of war, alluding to the comment Dorit Kemsley made about the status of her friendship with Teddy that aired in last week’s episode.

“Teddy tagged me on a post promoting her dad’s concert,” Dorit, 48, replied. Kyle Richards explained that the post saw a video of some RHOBA cast members sing on stage with Teddy’s father, John Mellencamp.

Garcell’s comment harks back to last week’s RHOBA episode. During the first night of the cast’s trip to Oceanside, Dorit and Kyle were arguing during the cast dinner – this is where Teddy’s name is first mentioned. (Teddy was a RHOBA cast member from 2017 to 2020)

“Sorry, we’re all close to her,” Kyle yelled at Dorit across the table during the Dec. 3 episode.

Dorit replied: “I’m not close to her. She and I are friends, we are not close.”

During this week’s episode, Garcell admitted during her confessional that she wanted to “call out” Dorit.

“It’s such a hypocritical move,” she continued. “He suddenly wants to help Teddy’s father?”

Dorit, for her part, explained her move on social media to a group of women at dinner.

“She tagged me, just like usual, I reposted it,” Dorit shot back. Garcell quickly responded saying, “When we were just talking about it earlier and you said you weren’t her friend.

Dorit denied saying this. (During the conversation, Erika Jaine and Kyle debated, under their breath, if that was what Dorit actually said.)

“I didn’t say I wasn’t friends with her; I said I’m not that close to her,” she said. “I said she was my friend.” I don’t think she would characterize our friendship as super close, but I was surprised that she tagged me. But I saw that it was to promote her father and I am happy to promote her father’s concert. So I reposted it.”

Kyle weighed in on the explanation during her confession.

“Do we really think Grammy winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp needs Dorit’s endorsement on Instagram?” she asked. “I don’t think so.”

Teddy’s entire conversation came up again the next day as the women drove to the airport after a girls’ trip to Oceanside.

Sutton Stracke he called Erica out for talking “quietly” about the Dorit and Teddy conversation. However, Dorit started a fight with Sutton.

“I just want to clear this up because I don’t remember exactly what I said because I was dealing with Kyle and I,” she said. “I remember saying that I considered Teddy a friend, but I wouldn’t categorize us as close friends.”

Kyle tried to explain that “it’s not about Teddy,” which Sutton started repeating. Dorit then raised her voice on Sutton when things went off the rails.

“Dorit doesn’t get that it’s not about Teddy, it’s about us being able to call each other, work through it and move on,” Garcelle said in her confessional, appreciating the moment. “It’s not about Teddy.” Although Teddy will be delighted.”
