A refreshing new design fair is open in New York last weekend during Nickdesign the festival and together with a long lasting International Fair of Contemporary Furniture. Titled ShelterReturn to physical show for organizers who led home accessories expo Shoppe object Before starting online seller The afternoon light. Among its 89 exhibitors, the fair presented new brands that work on scales and budgets from collectible furniture to table cases in Kantala and wear. Also included several stalvart brands that do something surprising and the manufacturer’s department Jonald DudddAnnual presentation of indecisive and pleasant strange furniture and lighting.
I went to check it by photographer Rebecca SMEINE And to choose a few favorite objects in the show. Here are a few things we liked.
My voice for the best in the show was Painted facilitiesStudio leads Elise McMahon in Hudson, New York. I am a fan of its fabrics, wire fittings and other great collages of rough and ready materials.
A pair of stone relatives Ember Studio anchored one wall on ColonyThe New York Gallery / Co-op started Jean Lin.
Fort Standard They did what they do best and showed some creative new cabinet in various endings.
Brand of clothing Noah continued for furniture and home decor with set of quilts Leslie Opp-Beckman.
Her textile is a woven fabric of dead fabrics.
It rarely works USM Try to improve on the perfection of its shelf systems, but in a shelter, Brand showed a new set of seating panels Henry Julier made of woven paper cable. I would love to see the open version one day.
Recently established San Francisco Called company Murmur He debuted a collection of heavy glass ash glass. Shut up everything you are burning – we decided to Palo Santo at the fair and reinforcing the snakes of the smoke circulates below glass bells.
The version of the dichroic glass was far my favorite.
Ladies and gentlemen, Jonald Duddd. This year’s exhibition of disaster objects They set aside comfortably unpleasant circuits of odd materials that added furniture in one way or another. It was a parade of odd objects led by the Hot Dog Stand, and for some reason, Merch included T-shirts “Grate Dudd” T-shirts.
(That blue tarp inflates and drains like it breathes, btw. It’s a very Laura Palmer Chaise?)
My top work among the assembly of the earthquake was “covered with the lamp” by the New York designer Teddy BreeDlove.
I stopped taking a photo of the finalizes that are at the top of this incredibly strange postmodern shelf from Hudson Valley Shop Availability.
New York Studio Bond Hardware It is known for tastefully Gothi Jewelry and Pribojnici, but the facilities of the domestic scale, including the salon and mirror, as well as porcelain lighting design, also showed in the shelter, Natalia Landovski and do stone and resin Marcus Vinicius de Paula.
