Chelsea entered the current week of games in the Premier League second in the table and are firmly part of the current title race below Enzo Maresca.
The Blues have won nine and lost just two of their opening 15 matches in the division and face Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The report states that the German striker has been a long-term target for the Blues, but that other Premier League sides are also interested in securing his services.
It adds that Kobel is also “on the list” for the West London side and states that he is an option for them at the end of the season, as they are prepared to wait until next summer to try to sign him.

Why Gregor Kobel would be an upgrade from Roberto Sanchez
The Swiss international’s form in the Bundesliga and Champions League since the start of last season suggests he would step in and improve Chelsea’s squad.
Kobel, who was hailed as “really good” Dortmund goalkeeper coach Matthias Kleinsteiber prevented it 5.87 kg in 17 matches in the Champions League and prevented 2.4 kG during 38 appearances in the German top flight at the time.

As you can see in the table above, Sanchez has prevented just 0.15kG for Chelsea in the Premier League since the start of last season, while he is yet to make his European debut for the Blues.
Spanish Mulberry also committed an incredible seven fouls that led to shots or goals, while Kobel had just made two in 55 Outings in the Bundesliga and the Champions League for Dortmund.
These stats suggest that the 27-year-old Swiss titan is a significantly better shooter who is also far less prone to making the big mistakes that get his defenders and the team in trouble.
