One of music’s biggest nights, the annual BBMAs honor the year’s biggest artists, albums, songs, producers and songwriters, newcomers and music legends across multiple genres, based on data that tracks artists’ performances on Billboard Charts.
In 2023 Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen they were big winners with Swift taking home 10 awards including Top Artist, Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist. Vallen, meanwhile, scored a Top Billboard 200 album for his record One thing at a time and a Top Hot 100 song for “Last Night.”
Tate McRaemeanwhile, she delivered an unforgettable rendition of “Greedy,” her top Billboard Hot 100 hit.

The BBMAs air Thursday, December 12 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX and Fire TV. Viewers can also tune in on demand on Paramount+. Performances will be shown throughout Billboard.com and on Billboard’s social media channels throughout the night.
This year’s presenter is an actress and comedian Michelle Buteau. Her acting credits include Happiest season, always be my maybe, Survival of the fittest and Isn’t it romantic? Buteau’s Netflix special is titled Michelle Buteau: Welcome to Buteaupie.
Performers include Coldplay, Shaboozei, Jelly Roll and Linkin Park — the rock band played the awards show for the first time with Emily Armstrong since death lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017.
Zach Brian leads with 18 awards and a total of 21 applications. Last year, he took home wins for Best New Artist and Best Rock Artist. His album American Heartbreak also won Best Rock Album, and Best Rock Song went to his hit single “Something in the Orange.”
Swift follows Bryan as a finalist in 16 categories with a total of 17 entries. She is also the most decorated BBMA artist of all time.
Sabrina Carpentermeanwhile, is the first runner-up in 9 categories, including Top Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, and Top Billboard Global (Excluding US) Artist.
