yes, Benny Blanco he’s aware that his Los Angeles home is as eclectic as his wardrobe.
“I know the house is freaky,” Blanco, 35, said. Architectural Digest in the May profile. “A friend once said to me, ‘I like coming to your house because I feel like I can just let go and be myself.’ That’s exactly why I’m coming here.”
Blanco, however, denied the residence was the backdrop for all the rage, insisting: “It’s refined: this is a ‘dinner house.’
Blanco bought the house, built in 1989, in 2019. Although it is located near his recording studio, the property was always meant to be a quiet retreat away from his work commitments.
“I need a break,” Blanco said AD. “Otherwise, I wake up at 3 in the morning and go to another room to make a song.
When Blanco bought the residence, he worked with a team of designers to bring all kinds of fantasy to life. In the yard there is an area for outdoor dining, a Mariah Carey-caliber changing rooms and cinema with candy.
“All the kids call it the ‘candy room,'” the producer joked. “They run out with candy bursting out of their pockets, and they’re screaming (because) they’ve eaten so much sugar.” Their parents probably hate me.”
As for the locker room, Blanco even holds meetings on the floor. The wardrobe space features white built-in shelves, a range of mirrored surfaces and a blush velvet chair that matches the ottoman and rug.
The carpet was even the centerpiece for the Blanco’s proposal to his girlfriend since almost two years, Selena Gomez. The Golden Globe nominee, 32, shared photos of her diamond ring via Instagram on Wednesday, December 12, as she and Blanco cuddled up on the floor of his glam space.
“Forever starts now,” Gomez wrote fast. Blanco, for his part, he called “my wife” in your answer.
Blank’s home comforts don’t stop at his living room and walk-in closet, as the property is, of course, centered around the kitchen. Since Blanco — who released his Open Vide cookbook earlier this year — is big foodie, he insisted on an updated kitchen.
“It’s just the best free-flowing space in the house,” Blanco said of the output of his all-white kitchen. “They all sit on top of the island.”
The house is decorated with all kinds of artwork, pillows and more, and no, Blanco doesn’t mind if they don’t match.
“I’m not afraid to be a grandma and have patterns all over,” he added. “I don’t mind conflict.”
