Anyone can play Netflix’s The Squid: Unleashed for free next week


On Thursday, Netflix announced the Game Awards that anyone can play Squid Game: Unleashed for a limited time when it launches on December 17th. You can pre-register to play now.

“We invite everyone to chaos this holiday season,” said Alain Tascan, president of games at Netflix, in a press release. “The Squid Game is Netflix’s most-watched series ever, and we want everyone around the world to be able to participate in its return by making Unleashed available to everyone.”

The Battle Royale mobile game is based on the popular Netflix series and puts players in iconic games from the show, such as Red Light, Green Light and Glass Bridge.

Netflix has not said how long non-subscribers will be able to play the game after its launch.

Regardless of whether you are subscribed to Netflix (which starts at $7 a month), you can play this game without ads or in-app purchases for free iOS or Android device. If you subscribe to Netflix, you can play this game and many others like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
