Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson found love, despite the 23-year age difference.
The couple originally met when Aaron auditioned for Sam’s directorial debut, Nowhere Boy. According to Sam, her current husband was not very available because of his Kick-Ass filming schedule, so he auditioned at her place.
“It was so awkward,” Sam, with whom he was going through a divorce Jai Jopling at the time, he recalled during a 2017 interview The Sunday Times UK. “I finally said, ‘OK, he’s going to have to come to my home.’ I opened my door to John Lennon. I knew right away that he was the guy.”
He explained himself that she shared a “connection” with Aaron while they worked on the project together, saying: “He was very intense and absolutely decided (about dating).”
Sam and Aaron married in 2012 before welcoming daughters Wilda and Romy Hero. (Aaron is also the stepfather of Sam’s two older children from her previous marriage.)
