Hello friends! Happy Friday! What’s happening this weekend? We meet friends for dinner, go to a fun fall festival, and tour Liv’s high school (how?!). For now, I’m just having a leisurely morning with mine Lumebok mine too PEMF mat. The weather has been nothing short of dreamy this week, so I’m hoping we can sneak in a family walk. I’d love to hear what you’re up to!
It’s time for the weekly Faves Friday party. Here I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so please shout out something you love in the comments section below.
NIC adventures! We had the best fall break in New York. It was P’s first time and it definitely lived up to her high expectations. She couldn’t believe how tall the buildings were and how many things there were to do. Both kids were blown away by the amazing shopping, the beautiful scenery of Central Park, and all the amazing food options.
Some of the highlights:
Seeing Six with family! Liv and I saw the touring production and we GOT it, and I thought it would be the perfect family Broadway show since we’ve already seen the Disney production. It’s not wildly inappropriate – there’s some innuendo that will go completely over the heads of younger kids – and it’s short and sweet. No break and more concert type. This cast was crazy – A heart of stone he almost made me sob into my cup of white wine – and everyone loved it. P said she wanted to see him again!
Pizza at Don Antonio’s. Pizza like this always confuses me in the best way. The dough is salty, tasty, not greasy. How come 99% of gluten free pizzas are terrible when there is such a treasure?! It is possible to make the perfect gluten-free pizza…you just have to hop on a plane to get it.
(Always margarita with anchovies)
Contemporary bread and pastries. I’ve been following them on Instagram forever and added it to our must-eat list. P is also gluten-free, and we are both often disappointed by gluten-free bagels and doughnuts. This place had both, and they were more amazing than I could ever explain. They tasted like the REAL deal! NIC really does it right, friends.
(I loved it so much I went back the next day to get the pastries to bring home in my suitcase. The good news is they ship!!)
Museum of Natural History. Liv and I went to this years ago and wanted to take P. She was delighted with the exhibits and we all enjoyed wandering around. It’s easy to spend a few hours here and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Central Park. We walked around Central Park for a few hours and found a beautiful grassy field where we could relax and the kids could run free. This was the point where I envisioned my life in New York and what it would be like to hang out here in the middle of a weekday or on the weekend. The liiiiife.
Sculpt Society with friends!! I contacted my friend Heather, who I’ve always known through blogs but hadn’t seen in years, and I was so excited that she could be at the Sculpt Society class at UES. The studio was beautiful and we were able to take lessons from Matt, who is one of my favorite TSS instructors. (I love them all, though!) It was so great to catch up with Heather and also meet and hang out with fellow blog reader, Sana!
Sana called because she lives in New York, and I asked if she wanted to meet in class. I love meeting fellow blog readers in real life. You’ll often tell me you feel like you know me from reading the blog, but it goes the same way – I feel like I know many of you (especially my fellow OG readers) after all these years.
With Sana and Heather:
(she brought the cutest gluten free treat package! The girls and I had the best dessert picnic on the flight home)
As for the class, I liked it. It went super fast and killed my inner thighs. Matt was also delighted in person. I love his energy and teaching style and am so lucky to have had the opportunity to take a class with him.

We also shopped, ate so much delicious food, walked everywhere and just enjoyed the city. New York is such a magical place and I hope it won’t be 6 years until we go back 😉
(just a little shout out here for our beloved Amex Platinum! We used our RESI credit of $100 for dining, $200 back for hotel stays, points for our hotel, and complimentary lounge access for this trip. If you decide to check it out, my referral link is here. Mine from mine Credit card travel tips are in this post.)
Olive Rose is heeeeere! I have been waiting for this day for months as I shake my empty Skin color bottle. It’s light, flexible and like skincare and makeup in one. I also ordered some lip butter and blush to try, along with a supply of my beloved shower gel.
Reading this right now and it is fascinating to see how the position of the tongue, swallowing, breathing, etc. affect the shape and structure of the face. (In addition to the physical impact, proper breathing mechanics make a huge difference to sleep and the nervous system!)
are you watching Dancing with the stars? If so, who are you rooting for this season??
Don’t forget to check out this week’s podcast episode with medical intuitive Rachel Reimer here.
Canopy has a new air cleaner! You know I’m obsessed with Canopi products, and this new air purifier is sleek and gorgeous, plus you can stack it with a bedside humidifier. A perfect combination! Use it FITNESSIST here for 15% discount.
I can’t wait to make my favorite pumpkin chili recipe.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I wish you a wonderful weekend and see you soon!
